The area of Broumov is a beautiful region of sandstone rocks, Stolové hory (literally ’table mountains’) and Baroque monuments. In the vicinity of the Broumov Monastery you will find natural attractions such as Adršpach-Teplice Rocks, Stolova hora Ostaš, Broumovske Steny (Broumov Walls) with stone mushrooms, excursion place Hvězda with a restaurant, the highest peak of the region of Ruprechtický Špičák with an observation tower, the Čáp observation tower near the Bischofstein excursion site, Stolové hory in Poland and Polish underground town Osówka. 

The Broumov region also offers many different sports and leisure activities. A newly opened bicycle rental can be found nearby to the monastery and there is a scooter rental available in the nearby Police and Metuji. The Walzel Center in Meziměstí offers bowling and, for example, an indoor shooting range. The main attraction of what the region has to offer is the Merkur Museum in Police and Metuji or the Dřevíček Mill in Horní Dřevíč showing the history and original crafts. www.broumovsko.cz.

Janovičky

Towering 664 meters above sea level, is the highest situated village in the Broumov region. It lies atop the wooden slopes of the Javoří mountains; perfect for sports and relaxation. 

The ski slope and ski lift right below the hotel are especially enjoyable for winter sports enthusiasts. Thanks to its great location, the hotel is an ideal base for trips around the Broumov region, the nearby Adršpach Rocks, Broumov and Teplice Walls or the Lower Silesian border. The Broumov region also features a treasury of Baroque monuments, especially by the Dientzenhofer architects, dominated by the Broumov Monastery above the town.

Adršpach-Teplice Rocks – Europe's biggest rock maze

Visit the impressive Adršpach-Teplice rock town, whose unique sandstone formations are a stunning sight – and not only that, they’re among the biggest in Europe. Nowhere else in Central Europe can you find so many breathtaking sandstone rocks and gorges in such a small area. You can also visit the only mountain-climbing museum in the Czech Republic, which is located in Adršpach Castle.

Broumov region and Kłodzko – Through the region of breath-taking baroque architecture

Embark on a journey to the world of opulent Baroque, hidden in the north-eastern tip of the Czech Republic near the Polish border, and discover its captivating genius loci, imprinted on it by the Dientzenhofer architects. There are nine unique Baroque churches in the entire Broumov region, built by these famous architects. Each church is different and has its original ground plan, standing independently from one another, yet as a group they form a beautiful whole that gives the Broumov basin its unique character.
